Meet The Founder
Chris Money CA ATT MAAT AATQB
Chris has worked in accountancy since the age of 16, spending nearly two decades building relationships with hundreds of business owners across Scotland.
He spent years growing a client portfolio and pushing to modernise how firms actually serve their clients - better technology, clearer communication, and advice that arrives before the problem, not after it. He then moved to a Director role at a larger firm to do exactly that at scale.
But the best version of what he wanted to build kept running into the same obstacle: it wasn't his name on the door.
SmartMoney changed that, literally. Launched in September 2025, it brings together everything he'd spent his career working towards - a firm built around the client, not the calendar.
